Gold-plated cornet was made by C.G. Conn Ltd. of Elkhart, Indiana, around 1920. The hand-tooled cornet has a design on the top of the stem that depicts flowers, an eagle, and Archibald Willard's iconic painting "The Spirit of 1776." Engraved lettering reads "PRESENTED TO WARREN G. HARDING BY THE C.G. CONN. LTD. ELKHART. IND." and " Victor New Wonder No. 178073." The cornet has a detachable silver metal mouthpiece that is stamped "CONN-MODEL."
